Most men have hairy or hairless knobby looking ankles that no one except a horse or an orthopaedic doctor might be interested in seeing...most women on the other hand have shapely, almost scuptured looking ankles which are somewhat pleasant for almost all to look at.

It hasn't a lot to do with looks. You'll find that they are mostly worn with sneakers or running shoes, and are more comfortable when jogging or running than long socks, which fall down all the time. But hey! you're a guy! What do you know about what's attractive to women? They may actually LIKE looking at your ankles.

They have been wearing them since I can remember. The look of tube socks and shorts is not a good one. I buy my entire family ankle socks and I'm the only female in the house.

Well because they look better. Who in 2007 is going to wear tube socks with shorts that is not cute.

idk I hate those things. I don't even like pushing down my crew socks but I do it so people won't think I look weird.
Ankle socks should be for chicks.
