For me it would be the Sacramento Kings when they had Jon Barry and Bobby Jackson coming off the bench. They always had energy !!!!

Yeah, I agree with you. The Kings of 2000-2004 had the best bench ever. They were the most solid team I have ever seen, a team like that doesn't come around very often. You can truly call that one of the greatest teams ever made. I really miss the glory days of those royal Kings.

The 87 Lakers could come off the bench with Michael Cooper, Kurt Rambis and Mychal Thompson. Cooper was the NBA's defensive player of the year in 1987, and both Rambis and Thompson were good enought to start over 450 games each during their NBA careers. (Rambis started 462 games, and Thompson started around 600 times, although # of times started was not an official stat during the first couple of years of his career.

That was an excellent bench.

The Pistons bench of the late 80s/early 90s was fantastic as well...the 89 team (their first championship team) had guys like Dennis Rodman, James Edwards, and John Salley coming off the bench.

Their regular starters were Thomas, Dumars, Laimbeer, Mahorn and Aguirre/Dantley. A great, great team...no wonder Michael couldn't get past them in the playoffs.

The Celtics of the mid/late 80s relied very much on their starters, with the exception of Bill Walton, who was able to play 80 games in 1986 (he was never healthy enough to even play 70 games in any other season). But once they got rid of Cedric Maxwell and moved McHale to the starting lineup permanently, there was a big drop off on their bench after Walton. Their backup guards after Ainge and Johnson were never very good.

I'd go with the Pistons bench in the late 80s/early 90s. They had several guys that could start or come off the bench with equal effectiveness.

I would say the Utah Jazz does. Right now there bench is one of the top in the NBA that gets the most highest points per game. They have a strong bench that can back the starters out also there bench is fun to watch and they have a lot of energy.

For now I would go with the Spurs, cuz look at their bench they got Horry,Barry and to imagine having Finley in your bench. Thats why Spurs are dominant because they have palyers who could step up when the star player is not available.

That is horrible. What are you talking about. The bulls team when they won the first 3 peat because they had Tony Kukoc, B.J. Armstrong, Pippen, Jordan, Perdue, Rodman, Pete Myers, Horace Grant, and Bill Cartwright.

I think the heat this year. They have Payton,Walker, and Alonzo on the bench. Kapono is money with his 3's. and they just signed Eddie Jones again. That is a starting line up right there.
