I cannot believe ppl! I can be friends with those I thought would stick by me, and gossip coworker works with them one time and next thing I know, those people are giving me the cold shoulder? More than what she is telling them, is how quickly they believe her? And, she keeps tryin to be friendly to me as if I can't figure this out! She hates her mother, and I wonder if this isn't some rage against me because I have some trait like her mother? Bizarre, but so is she? Why don't people just not talk to you if they can't stand you? Why make everyone else believe it too? She finds anyone who talks to me, and starts workin on them. Only 2 coworkers that stick by me....are left.....I am to the point, if anyone believes her without asking me about it, they weren't friends anyway. But, what a witch!!!!! What would you do? Would you believe something about someone without asking them?

Go in, do your work, save the drama for the stage.... have friends outside of work. simple rules to live by.

Believing something without asking the person? Unfortunately, I've caught myself doing that. Usually when I actually got to know the person I was able to pass my own judgement and often realized that person was wrong in what they said (at least as far as I was concerned). The unfortunate thing is that first impressions make a big impression, and if the first impression is from someone who doesn't like you, that's often hard to overcome. I agree with the witch thing. That's really not cool to do. Gossip is a hard thing to overcome. I've had that happen to me before, where some of my relationships were destroyed because of gossip. It's very mean spirited, and it hurts a lot. Looking back I can see several things I could have done differently, but I don't know if you're in the same situation so some of the advise wouldn't apply. All I can say in general is to definitely not let it eat you---let yourself not care about who is on who's side. Hard to do, but once done it makes things a lot easier.

this is everywhere in the work force, it is best that you just do your job and ignore all this foolishness.
dont let this co-worker get any of your emotional powers.
just smile at her and keep workin

Pray for her...people need our prayers to be better...we forgot to pray for each other...for that this world is going crazy! Take good care!
