we have been trying to have a yard sale more months now, but something always gets in the way. when should i do it. this weekend is the weekend before spring break? should i do it now or wait till next sunday during spring break?

Through many YEARS of experience helping my mom have them, we have discovered that the best times are:
+ May, early June or mid to late August
The best days are:
+ Thursdays, Friday mornings/Saturday mornings

Probably would be better before or during Spring Break, and make sure that the weather is not going to be rainy or really cold (people won't even come, and if they do, they won't stick around for long).
Also, try to do it on a Saturday or Sunday - That's when people go *looking* for yard sales.

Saturday of Spring Break. That is the day when there will be a lot of people out looking for bargains, and then wrap it up on Sunday. Sunday is not a good first day, as guys want to watch sports and families have barbecues. Be sure to post fliers around the neighborhood with clear directions to your place. Color code with dot stickers, and have plenty of change. Have a couple of helpers, so people don't wander off with your goods.....Best wishes.

Yard sales are like fishing..The best fishing is 6 weeks after the first day of spring...guys go fishing..woman go yard saling..both up at the crack of dawn

Saturday/Sunday in the spring from 9am-3pm. You should advertise in the newspaper too!

when the weather is nice in your area and a weekend when everyone gets paid just ask your friends and count your payweeks.or when you have a lot of summer stuff wait till may
