The Cubs won 66 games last year > you must think Ted Lilly and Jason Marquis are the second coming of Koufax and Drysdale - LOL -
I hate to break it to you but Lilly & Marquis could not keep the ball in the big ballparks they were pitching in last year. In that band box of a ballpark known as Wrigley they are going to get shelled. The only guys who are going to be glad to see them pitching are the opposing hitters and the guys on Waveland Ave collecting souvenirs.
Marquis - IP-194 HR-35
Lilly - IP-181 HR-28
if the Cubs win more than 81 games I would be shocked.

The Cubs will be much improved over last year but will only win 85-90 games, however in the NL central it may be enough to get them into the playoffs, then its gonna be if they stay hot, healthy and their arms can carry them thru.

I would say 70 - 80 games. Average pitching that has trouble staying healthy. Piniella is an average manager. Bought teams have no chemistry.

i would also say 90-95 because there pitching should be average and there lineup is STACKED. i think that they really have a shot at making a run this year.

75-80. Solid offense but a bad rotation. Dempster will not work out as closer, so closing out games will be pretty hard for them. 3rd in the division.
