Maybe the movies are graphically violent, perhaps, because the novel was, but is it really necessary to make them that graphically violent?

I enjoy reading Frank Miller's graphic novels more than I enjoy the movies-- they are filled with back story and characterization and plot and setting. The graphic violence of the movies is typical of Miller's style in the graphic novels.

Are you talking about the movie Sin City or are you talking about the litt. itself being to graphic? The movie is graphic because the book depicts things a certian way and to make it aesthetically pleasing to the human eye and brain. But the books...cause he writes graphic novels...i would assume

Watchmen. Its by using Alan Moore. outstanding picture novel. My admired next to V for Vendetta. examine it out. and then The Spirit is thru Will Eisner. in spite of if it replaced into directied by using Frank Miller. extraordinary, outstanding?

Basically, the gore not only adds character, but it definitley fills up the seats in a theatre as well.

Yes, it is necessary to be true to the books. If not, then base them on someone else's work.

it really adds drama.. like i just saw 300.. w0ow.. i mean its portraying spartan society.. these were people that were purly about military.. through out their babies if they looked too small... or too uncapable.. they went to training at.. age 7 i believe .. wats ironic is taht they had slaves themselves lol but w.e... it just shows how they really were..
