If it stayed the same way it is now it would be too depressing and I wouldn't want to live forever.

It might be pretty weird and depressing floating in the planetary nebula left behind by our sun....
...or quite a bit before that when the rest of the human race
dies out...
...but I wouldn't mind living as long as I had other people around me, whose company I could enjoy.

Yes. Only without stipulations such as vampirism or aging.
Would I get sad about loved ones dying around me all the time then? Of course, but I am friendly so I would have hundreds of friends.
