Can anyone tell me who sing a song that starts out with " This goes out to all the player in the hood, up to no good." it is a female group.

The song I believe came out in 1998 or sooner. one of the lyrics states " it wont be long before we come to your town" and then followed by " step on the scene with gangsat lean, you know what i mean" it is a female group or even an solo female.
