Please answer on your city only. Don't answer on cities you don't live in. Is your city a safe place for a crossdresser or transgendered person to walk about? Go to night clubs, grocery shopping, resturants? Is there only an area of the city that is safe, or is the whole city a dangerous place to express alternate sexualities?

Phoenix AZ is a BIG YES!!! we even have the nationally known "gay denny's" not that that has to do with crossdressing, but it's helped in the tolerance portion. i have lived here my whole life, and if i have ANYTHING to do about it, this is going to be the most ALL-tolerant city in the west coast ( i mean clear of all prejudises, as much as possible)!

Jacksonville, Florida... we have a few clubs that have drag shows a couple times a week. One is right on the beach, and last time I was there, a few of the girls went walking around and down the beach .. they were fine. I don't know, it all depends.

I wouldn't say this city is safe.. it's a diverse city. We have a really high murder rate and I've heard about a couple gay bashings since I moved here a two years ago. I've seen one or two crossdressers out and about in stores and such too.. no one seems to give them any problems, but I'm probably way off on that.

I live around the Vancouver city, Canada -
I do see some cross dressers.
(Gotta say some do a real good job dressing up, better than some women I have seen)
I would feel more safer with them out on the town then some of the everyday people I see.
They don't bother you, beg for money and or stay away from the drug scene
In my eye's they are only hiding from their self (Their identity)
They have the same rights we have so therefore are in entitled to what they choose to do and live their life in a happy state of mind as we would want for our self.
No better and No less, equal rights.
So yes my city is safe for cross dressers or for anyone else
at times. CRIME IS ALL AROUND US TODAY.

Um, that is a hard question to really answer. I live in Omaha, Nebraska and I think you'll get a lot more stares than anything else. However, I'm sure in any city there will always be a select few people that go above and beyond just a stare.

I live in St. Louis, and it is reletivaly safe here. Some of the bars are not in the best of neighborhoods, I haven't really heard of someone ever being bothered.

Never had a problem here in Sebring, Florida. Full of rednecks and bible toting Southern Baptists but they don't even stare. Always had excellent service wherever I went.

NYC in many areas is safe, yet in others, you better be packing an AK-47 crossdressed or not.

toronto canada - we have a section of town that is LGBT friendly.. overall, it is a fairly rough part of town, and all parts of toronto are not what i would call safe. guns drugs and violence seem to be a major issue here in recent years..
