I looked at similar questions but as always the situations are different for every person. For me, I've known this guy for two years and only REALLY gotten to know him for a few weeks. There are really obvious signals and even my family and friends can see it. But I don't want to ruin our friendship. What if he's only being encouraging loving becuase I give him attention in return? Or because we're both Christian and I'm misinterpreting a brother-in-Christ's love?
I don't want to admit it to him because I don't know what will happen afterwards if he doesn't like me in the same way. Things wil be really awkward. I'm two minds here and it's driving me nuts! =p Help!

Don't be exaggerating when you say it, but admit some of your feeling for him (as not to scare him). Ask him if he wants to go on a date. Just be casual, and do not think that this will be awkward, because it will be when you start thinking so.

I think that if you really love this guy and want to spend the rest of your life with him, I say go for it. Tell him how you feel and say that if he doesnt feel the same way you would still like to be good friends. As I am a Christian also, I would like my first boyfriend to be my husband. Since I dont know the complete details of your situation, I think you should let your feelings known if you really love him.

Being a child in Christ doesn't stop you both from being jerks in love. Yeah. You're both in love with each other and being jerks about it. What you see and are trying to deny is that he still sends the signals, just like you do. Do you think your family and friends are just yanking your chain?
Nope. They think you're both jerks, too. You'll probably get married and have lil' jerks one day.

couldn't you talk to him about committing to each other? Be discreet, if he's really your friend he won't mind, whatever his answer. Personally I think he know exactly what he's doing with you, if you can step back and take a more detached view of the situation it will be to your advantage. Good luck!

Thats a tough one,you might get another trusted friend to kinda off handed ask him what he thinks of you,or just ask him,he might be going through the same akwardness you are.good luck!!

about your fear of rejection: a while ago a friend of mine asked me out, and i said no because i wasnt interested in him that way, but it didnt make it awkward and were still friends and just as close
