Try Miles Davis-Kind of Blue and Milestones coz Trane played for Davis in those albums......also check out Dave Brubeck's and Thelonious Monk's Brilliant Corners, sONNY rOLLINS-Saxophone collosus

There are so many Coltrane albums out there,

i think Giant Steps and My Favorite Things are two of the best. Check out the stuff he did with Miles, especially Kind of Blue. He did do some stuff with Thelonius Monk quartet as well. I recently got the complete Prestige recordings of Coletrane which contain a lot of his early quartet stuff.
