A friend of mine just bought a Playstation one game and someone told them that they would be able to save the game using a Playstation one memory card. My friend tried it and it says that it formatted the memory card but then it said that it failed to save. Is there anyway to fix or change that so that it will go ahead and save?

Yes, you need a ps/1 memory card to save ps/1 games on a ps/2. I bought a used one at EBgames for just a few dollars.

I needed it to save on Final Fantasy VII and yes, it works fine on the ps/2.

Go to a gaming store and see if they know how to do that. I have a PS2 and have been playing PS1 games on it and I use PS1 memory cards. I haven't had a problem saving them. See if there is something wrong with either the game or the memory card. Good Luck! :-)

That sounds odd. I remember when PS2 first came out, I was able to save PS1 games on the PS2 as long as I had a PS1 memory card. There may be something wrong with the game.

No, regrettably ps2 is diverse sufficient from the unique that it's going to not be supported on the unique shape. you may theoretically play PS1 video games on a PS2, yet i've got had problem with saving them on a PS2 memory card.
