I am having problems booting up my emachine computer with windows xp home edition. when i press the power button it turns on normally but then at the windows Xp loadind screen a blue screen pops up for a second not giving me time to read the screen. Then it would go to a error screen saying to enter safe mode because theres a problem. sO i cannot go into the normal mode it will only allow me to log on to safe mode what could be the problem?

First off Emachines are garbage.
When you get into safe mode, Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, then Command Prompt. Type chkdsk /r. It sounds like your hard drive may have a problem and this command will find the problem and fix it if possible.
