Ok so right now I'm using the regular Acuvue soft contact lenses, they are fine when I put them in...I've been wearing contacts for about a year and a half, the same brand, but at the end of the day...my eyes feel dry and tired. I hate it.

Would the Acuvue Oasis contacts be better for me, since they are moisturized?

Also my eye doctor said I had a bit of dry eye, could this be why my contacts feel so uncomfortable by the end of the day?

You need to buy the eyedrops and use them regularly... I have Focus Night and Dailys which are supposed to be dispossed of monthly and you can sleep with them in... Do you sleep with yours in? That could be the problem. I used to use Acuvue and I don't recall being able to wear them overnight. Even though mine can be worn overnight though I almost always wake up with cloudy dry lenses in the morning so I opt to take them out most nights even though I don't have to. I would take them out every night if it is really a problem for you... and even if you leave them in a lense holder full of solution when you take them out poor some more solution into your (washed!) hands use massage-like motions on both sides of the lends for about 15-30 seconds on each side to make sure they're squeeky clean. This helps ALOT! I also have to do eye exercises alot... like holding up my eyelid and rolling my eye around in circles... this can put the contact back in place if it gets shifted and it can also help if they're dry and you don't have any drops within reach.. It wets them up somehow. Anyway hope I helped!

Acuvue Oasys generally are much better for dry eyes than Acuvue or Acuvue 2. Oasys offers about 6 times more oxygen to your eyes, which could alleviate your "tired" eyes. Also, the Hydroclear Plus in Oasys, will keep your eyes moist throughout the day. Sometimes contacts aren't the only problem. Certain solutions are better than others with any higher oxygen lens. I've found that Optifree Replenish or Clear Care work best with Oasys. Renu or most generic multipurpose solutions can make the lenses less comfortable. Good luck!

try the oasis. it wont hurt, but i have dry eye too and that is why by the end of the day they feel like sand paper. try taking them out as soon as your home and wearing your glasses whenever possible. also carry around drops with you. there are lots of over the counter drops that can be used with contacts

I have acuve hydraclear and they work great for me most of the time. I can't even feel them in my eyes. And yes, that could very well be the reason.
