the carbon in NaCO (subscript 3)
Na is 1+ O3 is -6 (3x-2)? then the Carbon would be 4+??????

Been reading "To Catch a Mockingbird" lately?
The compound, by the way, is Na2CO3 and you are right about the carbon.

I think you're missing something.

should be Na2CO3

and your correct. Na is +1

O is -2

so 2 x (+1) + 3 x (-2) = 2-6 = -4

so C is +4
