I rarely have nightmares. But whenever I sleep over friend Tanya's house I get them. I usually slept in her second bedroom. And I never experienced sleep paralysis till one night I was over there. I woke up in the middle of the night and couldnt move. The whole room was shaking like an earthquake including the bed. Or atleast it felt like that. It wore off and I fell immediately fell back to sleep like nothing happened. Then another night over there I was dreaming and in the dream this little girl started chanting to me and she was saying "1, 2" Freddy's coming for you." In the dream Im laying down in the bed, and this guy appears through the bed where my legs are and is under the sheets with me. I was laying on my back, so I quickly turned to my stomach and tried to crawl out the covers and away from him. But I didnt get free because the guy got me before I could crawl away and started clawing my back up. I didnt die in the dream because before he could finish me I suddenly awoke. My body was burning, hurting, and feel scratched up.

I started dreaming like that and it scared the hell out of me. It stopped happening after I moved out of the house I was in, but to this day I cannot watch scary movies. Where before I could watch anything and nothing bothered me. I personally believe there were evil spirits in that house because a lot of my family members felt the same things at night. So freaky! So I hope it gets better for you, but I don't know how to cure it but to leave the place. Good luck!

I think that when you sleep over at your friends house, the surroundings are not familiar to you or your psyche.

You don't have a feel for the normal noises that occur in every household at night, be it the refrigerator running, the air conditioner humming, a tree limb banging against the house...

So, you are already uncomfortable before you fall asleep and then dream about what could happen because you think that you may be vulnerable in these new surroundings.
