all it's internal organs appear in the embryonic period (2-8 weeks following conception.) before the embryonic period is the germinal period (in which the zygote attaches itself to the uterine wall of the mother. (first 2 weeks following conception). After the embryonic period is the fetal period (2 months after conception til birth, so about 7 months long.) but all organs will appear in the embryonic stage, including the brain.
