Hi Geo. It may be best if you find a doctor that will work with you to find and fix the CAUSE of your symptoms and not use drugs to mask the symptoms.
Best wishes and good luck.

You can take things, but I would really get a retainer that will prevent you from grinding your teeth--there are other problems besides losing your teeth. I take melatonin, which helps a person sleep, and I also use a powdered magnesium product, Natural Calm. It helps with relaxation and your body usually needs it anyway. I would try relaxing music (like classical) before you go to bed. You might get a sleep apnea test to make sure you are not having other more serious problems.

As Doctor rightly mentioned, the cause needs to be established and then treatment can follow. Massage, esp. with Aromatherpy and Reiki added will be a good choice if it is simple muscle tension. Arnica Cream (homeoapthic) is another good option. But first things first. Go to doctor.

Okay first off please see a doctor do not be afraid to ask for a second opinion. That being said.
Kava is natural Novocaine. Also I use ice packs for like 20 minutes or so on the back of my head and it helps with my tension headaches.
