I have tried two brands, the first is Solgar which do not taste bad or make you sick, but you have to take 4 pills a day. The second is Rainbow light which is only one pill and has the same if not more than the Solgar brand, but tastes horrible. Really bad. It is the worst part of the day swallowing that pill. In addition no matter if you have prescribed OTC pills I would recomend an additional omega 3 pill which will not be in any multivitamins becaue it is in liquid form (gelcap). It is hard to get an appropriate dosage of fish each week and this makes up for it. It is also good for your hair which is a great added bonus.

I use One Source prenatal vitamins I got over the counter. I chose those because they are smaller. You take them twice a day, and they are about the size of Tylenol, otherwise the pills are huge!! Also I had heard about people getting nauseas from other pills, and these helped because you take them twice a day, instead of one big pill at once.

Alot of over-the-counter ones are great. Personally, I use Tandem OB (prescription) because they have extra iron and no calcium... it is believed that taking calcium with iron can cause the iron to not be absorbed properly. Since I've been using them I've had no dizziness, and I don't notice my heart murmer at all (showed up noticably with my last pregnancy). Just try a few different kinds, and then pick the one that makes you feel the best. Good luck!

Your doctor can perscribe prenatal vitamins, or you can buy them over the counter. If you buy them over the counter, just ask the pharmacist.

Believe it or not, my doctor told me that Flintstone vitamins were essentially the same thing. She said that if you're ever in a pinch...those work fine.
