My sister's boyfriend and his ex wife have been divorced since 1999. The ex wife is getting married, in a week. She called her ex husband,(sis's BF) and asked him for gas money, to drive herself and her sister, to her own wedding. I think that is crazy, rude, and unacceptable. The ex wife's sister has plenty money but is a tightwad.
Why doesn't the bride ask her fiance for gas money? Or ask her sister??
Any opinions?

The bride is 52 years old(she isn't a teenager)and her fiance is 44....her Ex is 51...

There are two things to do. Number one, don't get involved unless you are asked to. Number two, if asked your opinion say it is a bad idea, and can't he see that he is being treated with absolutely no respect, and being made a fool of. The bride or her family traditionally pays for entire wedding. When that is not possible, the groom or his family may contribute. He should absolutely not buy her gas. I mean, was he even invited to the wedding? Grow a spine! :-)

If you care about your ex's happiness, be the bigger person and say, "I'll drive you to it", but if you're not invited, tell her she'll have to figure it out. When you get home, wonder (briefly) how in the hell your ex is going to make a marriage work they can't even afford to get to. Then remember that you are a free agent!

The ex is a EX for a reason, the Ex wife has a lot of nerve asking something like this, if she doesn't have the money to travel to her own wedding, why is she getting married? YOU would have figure she would have plan out her transportation by now. Ask the new hubby to be to fork over the gas money, if he wants her there. The ex should tell her just that. Otherwise he is a sap and deserves to be taken one more time.

Jealousy. Now that she sees her ex husband with somebody who cares approximately him, it ultimately hit her that she permit go of something she cares approximately. tell your boyfriend you're uncomfortable along with her calling him and you want it to end. Her movements are definitely style of creepy. If she calls and you will answer it, lay down the line to her and tell her to end calling! some persons are so strange. sturdy success honey!

That was probably her way of letting him know she is getting remarried. I sure hope he didn't give her any money. He also needs to screen his calls and not take any from her in the future.
