in the US march 21st this year ( it's all about the sun you know so different dates in leap years and in the southern hemisphere of course - not to mention the international date line problem - which is why i specified US and this year - lol )

Depends on whether you are an astronomer or a meteorologist. The astronomer looks for the date the sun "crosses" the equator, which should be March 21. The meteorologist looks for the start of the time period between the 91 coldest days and the 91 hottest days. That is usually March 1

if you live in northern hemisphere, spring takes place on the month of march. but if you're on the southern hemisphere, September is the month of spring. it can also be determined always after the winter season.
