We eat all the food. We get fat, they get skinny. But being large is a sign of dominance. If we keep the skinny people skinny, we could easily take them over and make them our slaves.

It's not all because of the media, some early philosophers even felt that a strong person is able to control their physical urges, including hunger, so a normal weight person would be more highly respected than someone who is obese.
That's not an excuse to actually hate a person because of their weight, I was just pointing out that is certainly isn't new.

I'm chubby, and in my opinion I think it's because of A) the media B) they constantly show how being obese causes so many problems and diseases C) stretch marks, they just aren't appealing on skin D) back in the day, it was a sign of nobility or something to that effect so instead of accepting it or dealing with it or whatever they started to resent it.

honestly, and this is not a pc answer by all means: because they are unattractive (at least for today's standard), sometimes smelly, take a lot of space, appear to be lazy and frequently complaining, appear to be sad or angry, appear to be wasteful and undisciplined. These are off course not true for everyone but that is how some people see fat people. Most neglect the fact that some fat peps are just fat due to medical conditions and that it's not their fault. Most people think that fatties are responsible for their fatness (in most cases that's true though).

the response above is true to a degree.
IT IS NO LONGER BIOLOGICALLY ADVANTAGEOUS TO BE FAT.
Since it is often correlated with heart disease, but i agree that its not necessarily lasiness (sic), but genetically related.. In addition, since it is not biologically advantageous to be a fatty, they are not worthy mates.
neither are short people. deal.
oh were you expecting a supportive answer????
