Go to start/run and type DXDIAG, under the display tab you should see what graphic card you have.

You can check with Control Panel and get system info.
You can also try to see if you have an icon of the desktop re: graphics card, accelerator, and the like. Maybe even try My Computer and see if there's a folder for graphics, like ATI, GEForce, etc. If you have an older computer, try something like Turtle Beach, Hercules, (there are many others).

the most simple way is to left click anywere on your desktop that is open wich i mean "no icon in it's place" just anywere and the click on properties a new window will open and on the top of that new window click on Settings ..then on the bottom right you can click on advanced a new window will appear and then you click on the tab that says Adapter and all the iformation for you video card will be there..the company who makes it how fast it is how much ram it has ..is it 3d compatible..and this is the same steps you will use if you ever want to make changes to any colors you find dark or bright..good luck my friend..
