Well, The Naruto Show is slow...especially the US version, and the only reason the japanese version started the fillers was because so kishimoto would have enough stuff to write
naruto is pretty strong but right now he is focusing on getting sasuke back so he won't be hokage for a long time

-with the Rasenshuriken, Naruto has surpassed Kakashi
-with the Kyuubi, he has more chakra and stamina than anyone else
-he is the Fourth Hokage's legacy (and son, I think)
-he got Tsunade's necklace (which either means he'll become Hokage or die trying)
-every series needs a good ending; what better way than for Naruto to finally fulfill his dream
-Gaara is the Kazekage... Naruto beat Gaara.

Naruto has a long way to go before he can become hokage
but he will he's going to be the 6th hokage so keep hope ok
he's on his way it's just going to take a little bit of time for him

Yes but not the sixth the seventh the 6 will be kakashi and he will train naruto as the next after him then naruto will train konohomaru as the eight.

yeah he will, he still a kid then in the new Naruto Shippuuden ,he grows older and stronger and finds out gaara is hokage, so he gets more confident.

well in the manga there is signs of him getting very strong(lets just say kakashi has said he is getting stronger then him) so he may be but at the end of the anime which will be a long time from now(the creator has it going to chapter 500 in the manga(already at 345) so it should end at ep 350) so he may one day

There's a page in one of the newest chapters that shows Kakashi seeing a semi transparent image of the Fourth behind Naruto.
