Why would you want to spend the majority of what you have saved on a dress that you are going to wear one night. I can guarantee you that if you do you will regret it later on. When you have graduated Prom seems almost silly, as does spending more than $100 on a uncomfortable dress that you will only wear to prom, for a few hours. I got my dress my senior year for less than $50 at a discount prom shop and got some of the best compliments because it wasn't TOO flashy and was very original. I don't recomend spending so much. Look for something affordable and that fits your body type. As long as it compliments your features that should be all that matters.

I would say, if you have to ask, then the answer is no. This is an awful lot of money to spend on a prom dress. Now if the dress can be altered to be worn again then that would be a different story. You worked hard for your money, so spend it wisely. Have a great time at your prom and I am sure you will be very beautiful in any dress that you chose to purchase.

At the time I thought it was worth it and I spent around 280.. now I look back and wish I would have found something just as cute with half the price.. I wore it that day for a few hrs and that was it! Keep some of that money in there saved up for something else.. It's your wedding dress you wanna spend a little more money on!! you can look amazing in dresses that don't have to be so exspensive!! Plus, when you buy a cheaper dress that's hot, your friends will not only be jealous of how you look, but you didn't spend as much to look that great!! =)

this basically depends on how important u think the event is for u and if u r able to buy a similar dress at a lower price or not.
if u have something in mind in that price range that is absolutely unique and flattering go ahead but keep in mind the fact that u may not be able to use the dress anywhere else.
so u have to be carefull. think about buying something can also be used for other occasions such as dress-up parties and weddings etc.
choosing a dress can be really hard. if u have nothing in mind right now look for options at lower range.
god luck and all the best !

NO, honestly it's not worth it. I don't even remember much about my prom. I know I had fun, I don't remember what the girl sitting next to me was wearing. You can find a nice dress for less money and still have a good time. Thats what proms about, a good time NOT the dress.

No, I wouldn't. You can probably find a nice dress that you'll like and will look good on you for about $100, so why spend so much. Don't forget, you also have your hair appt. to pay for, and you will need shoes to go with the dress. Don't spend any more than you have to.

u don't HAVE to spend $340 on a prom dress. There are other alternatives such as outlet stores which have name brands. ( only that the styles are late)

It pays to shop around. You may find the same dress at a fraction of the cost elsewhere. If it is the dress you must have and the dress to die for, and your senior prom , and you can truly afford it, and definately have a date, then yes , do buy the dress.

no way. I think that's too much. It's just a dress, there are lots of cute ones in Nordstroms and Dillards that are less than 200 and cheaper.
Plus, you'll have better use for that money by having fun with it this summer, right?

Hmmmm...if it's a dress you just can't give up,then sure,go for it!
But there's many dresses that are absolutely gorgeous that are alot cheaper. Just look around!!! That way,if you only spend 200-300 dollars, you can spend more on shoes, makeup, etc. for a better look all together!!!Have fun at prom!
