The Republicans like to talk about the terrorists winning because it gets people emotional and plays on their fears and anger. When people get emotional about things they don't think logically. They get fooled easily and vote for idiots and liars who are misleading them.
The Terrorists won their biggest victory when the Bush administration turned Iraq into a bigger terrorist breeding and training ground than Afghanistan ever was. The truth is terror attacks on the US are rare, and terrorists have no hope to defeat the United States. Bin Laden's best dream was to have an incompetent reactive response to their attacks. The Republican party has done 1000 times more damage to the United States in the last decade than terrorists have ever done.

This was sort-of the question I asked last week, only my count was how many neocons genuinely believe liberals want terrorists walking all over us. The answer to your question is "zero". The answer to my question was disappointingly "at least 5".
Let's make the distinction between Republicans and neocons, shall we?
John McCain, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Bob Dole, George Bush ("41"), Rudy Giuliani and pre-Iran-Contra scandal Ronald Reagan are all Republicans. I disagree with 92% of their views, but at least they made sense.
George Bush ("43"), Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Tom Tancredo, Rick Santorum, and Ann Coulter are all neocons. Their views and actions are completely despicable. Unfortunately, their philosophy has infected so many people.

Now, Now Kelly we all know Republicans do not lie and Republicans make no mistakes, don't we? Hence liberals must want terrorists to win!
Pure sophistry my dear, and Karlrovian dirty tricks!
By the way, in case you have not noticed, the terrorists have already "won". We had Bush for four more years!

Because of GWB's lies and attacking a country that had nothing to do with Al Queda, 9/11 or WMD's, the terrorists are winning. Geesuz, I wish the republicans would get this through their thick skulls.

Yes, Truth - your absolutely right. I looked at some of the signs people were caring in the websites one of you put on your message. I wonder what our forefathers would've done if a bunch embraced a leader from another country as someone who was apparently on the side of the terrorists. It's sick to see such people act this way.

I think a big part of the problem is a lack of consensus, regarding who the REAL terrorists are. I am not buying that ridiculous "official" story, because it makes zero sense. They can call me a kook, and they can call me a conspiracy theorist, all they want to, but when the truth comes out, they will be the ones eating crow!!!!

Can you say that you want America to win? If not then what does that mean? All I hear from liberals is "Pull out", do they realize that by pulling out the terrorists will win? You can't have it both ways, it is either win or lose.

Thank you for pointing that out. Not sure they will get the point, but it is appreciated. Any comment about Liberals wanting terrorists to win or Liberals emboldening the enemy has to be the dumbest concept of an idea anyone could ever have. I know where they get it. Hannity and Limbaugh say that kind of crap all the time. Unfortunately , some people buy into that garbage. Another one I hate is about Liberals not supporting the troops. This is textbook Rove.
As far as what Articshic and people like her say...... what does she think the people from Blackwater are.??? they aren't U.S. troops. They are soldiers for hire a.k.a. mercenaries. And the spitting on troops. Hasn't happened and wont' happen.

it's all a bit silly... while there are FAR out there extremists in both parties that may want this (the Reverend who prosests soldiers' funerals comes to mind for the conservatives).. the VAST majority do not...
they don't really care if it's true though... they just want poltical ammunition... the only problem is... it's such a rediculous statement... that they basically look like radicals to most people, just like the Extreme liberals they despise...

William Arkin. Doesn't have the cajones to come right out and SAY it, but when he called our troops "mercenaries" and bitched about their "obscene amenities". He also inferred that they should be grateful they aren't getting spit on when they return.
If I *EVER* saw some idiot spit on a soldier, I'd kick the **** out of them. I don't have a damn *what* you think about this war. We owe our very freedom to our military.
God bless our troops.
Oh, and btw - I don't recall *ever* saying that. I have way too many liberal friends to believe that drivel.
