The Canon chip is highly encrypted and the workarounds are still not widely available in the retail space.

You're kinda stuck with it... :)

You do have the option of just refilling it and you can click on ok all the way till it allows you to print. It does disable the chip and ink level gauges though. You can still print but I think the warranty is void after all the acknowledgements.
