I know this can be scary, because this literally JUST happened to me. lol. I lost our house, and wasnt sure where I was going to live, and I didnt have my period for 5 WHOLE MONTHS. Its crazy, I know. Sometimes, your period can get irregular from time to time, and if you know you arent pregnant and you know you are overstressed, then it probably isnt anything to worry about. But you should tell your Parent or someone that can help you and is this continues for much longer, you might want to seek help from a Physician.
I hope everything works out.

Depending on your age, it could be very normal. In your teens, it's common to have irregular periods. Until I was about 16 or 17, I'd only have approx. 4 a year. This past year, I went 8 months or more without a period (I honestly lost count) before I went to the doctor. Mind you, this is just what's wrong with *me*. It may not be what's wrong with *you*, so don't freak out and diagnose yourself, but the potential problems are something you need to be aware of. My ob/gyn diagnosed me with polycystic ovarian syndrome and in a nutshell, I make estrogen and testosterone in adequate levels, but no progesterone. It's only serious if it's left unchecked. Basically, I'll be on birth control for the rest of my child-bearing days unless I want to deal with the consequences, like ovarian or uterine cancer WAY later down the road. Like I said, this is just what's wrong with me. All I'm saying is that it could be a problem, but it could also be very normal. You need to go see an ob and get a pap, and some blood work to check your hormone levels if he/she deems it necessary . But if you're under 18, more than likely there's no problem. Just keep an eye on it and get it checked out if it persists after you hit 18.

It's stress most likely; it happened to me when I left home to go to college for the first time. No period for three months and I was also a virgin at the time. You have any major life changes recently?

It very well could be stress and especially if you keep worrying about it it'll make it worse. a bunch of things can effect your period especially stress. Don't worry you absolutely can't be pregnant if you are truly a virgin I had a Friend who didn't get her period for almost 6 months and she was a virgin so don't sweat it too much.

I had the same thing happen to me and i knew i was not pregnant, but it scared the crap out of me. I think for most ladies that happens at least once. I was stressed to the bone and as soon as i calmed and slowed down, It came. go see your gyno or doc just to make sure everything is ok.

Being under or over weight, thyroid malfunction, and hormone imbalance can cause missed periods.
