I have a beautiful black (bright shiny wood) Kawai upright piano that I received some time ago.
It is in perfect shape (I never play it or my family) and has the following markings inside the top portion. A gold emblem Kawai KK" and marked NS-20A. There there is a stamp 2124902 in there as well. It has three I guess brass foot pedals and an electrical cord coming out the bottom?? I have the matching perfect bench that came with it. It is on wheels and weighs an incredible amount (took 5 guys to lift it up 4 stairs). It appears perfect except the medal hinges and foot pedals have some minor discoloration (just need shining).
I went on a piano site and got a ton of different answers. I contacted dealers here and consignment shops and I dont think I found an honest one yet. All tried to scam offering 500-2000, some saying it is worth as much as 3000. Can anyone help and advise a good way to sell?? THANKS ALL

I have a 6' 2" Kawai that was purchased for 14,000 4 years ago. A recently sold 6' 6" Kawai was priced 54,000. I would guess around 3,000 - 4,000 for an upright. Do you know what year it was made? That's a big factor.

Good luck!

A piano tuner can appraise pianos. As far as selling it, try Craigs List, or contact local arts schools or music stores.

Kawai Uprights are nice pianos.

I have no idea about pianos as well but trying to get one for my child. If you are willing to part with it for a minimum sum, then I am keen. Let me know.
