What country in Africa is the most screwed up and why?

I answered a question recently about africa and everyone agreed that the place is one disasterous mess. What country is the worst?

However, there are some African island states which are well secluded from the poverty plagues and civil wars, but nobody is talking about them!
I come from an island state called Seychelles with immense social welfare policies,both economically and politicaly stable. Our nation only sees the plague of our motherland Africa on tv, but we never lived it!. I'm very poud of our govt, but nobody knows us that well in the West.

Seychelles was former colonies of France and Britain, we have never progressed so much after our independence in 1976. The colonial rule was a big joke, and thanx to the selfish Europeans,my grandma was illiterrate...

That is the problem, the whites used their brains to exploit Africa's riches, to become the greatest economies.

The neighboring island of Mauritius is also having good living standards for most of its nation, and a thriving economy.

I'm living in Canada, and North Americans wouldn't believe me that I come from a better Africa, because of the stereotypic perception. But the press is the press!

I would like Westerners to visit my country and contribute to our nurturing tourism insdustry. It is paradise on earth, tropical climate all year round 25-29degress!, location outside cyclone belts.

I think many countries in Africa are screwed up... lots of poverty and a long long history of being enslaved by other cultures. I'm sure this has impacted Africans for 100's of years. Because of poverty, everything has been lagged behind (not making any racial judgement here)... education, technology, etc...

This is why I don't believe people evolved in Africa. If we really did, it be more civilized than the rest of the world not the reverse! The best part there getting rid of white farmers and replacing them with non-farmers.They wonder why there are more food shortages these last years
