St. Patrick's Day. It was invented purely for the consumption of fermented hops.

Thanksgiving would have to be up there on the list. The smells alone make it a favorite, but family gathering giving thanks, no pressure or disappointment over gifts like at Christmas, normally here in WV the day is cold and snowy yet the house is full of warmth from the oven and fireplace, adults gathered around the TV watching the game, the kids playing games with cousins they haven't seen in a long time, in our family we have 5 generations that sit down at several tables in the dining area passing dishes back and forth and about 10 different conversations going on.

I would have to say all of the holidays even though different people have different views on holidays. I say all of them because holiday season usually brings family and friends together around the world. People seem more giving, friendly, and new memories are made. Holidays for me just brings back the memories that I shared with my mom when I was a young child, and really help me appreciate our times together!

Christmas. The lights, the music, the time off from school/work. It's cold outside, so I like to sit around inside with family and feel cozy. The gifts are fun, too. And dinner. It's a multi-day holiday to be savored and to immersed in.

I would have to say Easter is my favorite because the colors are so cute like pastels and primary colors. Instead of every thing being dry and dead everything is getting stared up again.New blossoms on trees, flowers and plants and grass. Also new baby animals are born.

Christmas, whether you are a religious individual or not Christmas always seems to be a special time. Tons of memories are associated with it, sitting near a fire with family and friends, opening presents, and feeling the joy of giving something to someone. To me Christmas is the time of the year I can count on seeing family and hearing from everyone near or far.

Easter because its Spring, it's New Life - it's joy and newness of life. Second chances new beginnings. It's got to be the happiest season for other people too not like Christmas where people commit suicide and realize their loneliness.
