Oh Dear, get out now!! Tomorrow pack up the baby and do anything you want! There is no reason to sit around the house and do nothing because you have a newborn! I have 3 children of my own and my oldest and I went on walks within a few days of him being born! Dress your baby the way you are dressing yourself ( either for warm or cold weather) and go.
There is no mandatory waiting period before you can go. Shots or no shots, sick people or no sick people, noises or quiet. Newborns sleep through anything and everything. Going out at this point in time is more for you than anything else. So enjoy it! Because a few months from now, you will be wishing you could go out for a walk without having to stop to pick up toys, or feed the baby, etc.
So don't wait any longer. Go!!

Poor you! Dress your baby appropriately and go to the mall. In my culture, you are not supposed to leave the house for a month. I left the house when she was a week old because driving was the only way to calm her =)

I think when ever you feel comfortable with it. If when your out and some one come up to your baby and wants to hold him or her just say no. If they have a cold ask them not to touch your baby, since they are sick. Other than that just keep your baby safe and have fun, you don't need to become a prisoner in your own home because of a new baby. Just use good common sense.
Happy shopping or going to the park or whatever you see your self doing...........Enjoy your selves, your baby will love it too!!

I would avoid crowded places until this flu/cold season is over. There are some pretty nasty viruses going around right now. Take a walk around the block or sit on the porch for a bit.

You can go out when you feel comfortable doing so! Just make sure you keep your little one warm and don't let people go touching all over the little cutie! Don't make yourself crazy sitting at home...get out and get some fresh air! Congrats on the little one!

I'd say as long as the baby has had their first shots, you should be ok. Be sure to cover him/her up so strangers aren't tempted to touch him/her all over. It drives me nuts when people do that!!!
