Take public transportation until you can save enough for a vehicle. The last thing you need right now is more credit and more credit card debt. You are not eligible for another chapter 7 for 7 more years.

Filing for bankruptcy isn't a "process" it is an event. So there isn't any "while filing" about it. If you haven't filed yet, and you can find a lender willing to lend to you with a current view of your situation, then you may borrow enough money to be able to afford to file for bankuptcy. Having the intent to do that, would be pretty close to stealing, however. Once you've actually filed for bankruptcy, then you can, again, borrow from anyone willing to lend you money. But this whole question (and accompanying answer) goes to the issue of integrity. Apparently you have none! Doesn't that bother you? Why would you think that others should pay for your inability to provide adequately? Cut expenses. Increase income. Do both! Work two jobs if you must. Working for one week at a fast-food restaraunt will pay you enough money to file for bankruptcy. ($7.15 an hour times 40 hours a week equals $286.00.) You can usually file a chapter seven bankruptcy for $250.00. If you need more, work another week, or ask for extra hours. I see illegal immigrants out here laying brick, pouring concrete, and shoveling dirt for $7.15 an hour everyday. They are working to support themselves and their families. They don't have much, but they certainly don't expect anyone to give them anything. They often only make about $1,000.00 a month. They look hot, tired, and sweaty. You should learn from them how to be an American. Gain some integrity. Have some dignity. Work! I'm sorry you got yourself into this mess. I have no idea what personal crisis you've had to go through. But I get the feeling that you are sitting in an air conditioned room typing on Yahoo!Answers looking for an easy way out instead of out laying bricks in your neighbors driveway. Whatever your situation is, it is one that you caused by borrowing money you now don't have the ability to repay. That's just plain dishonest. You should be ashamed of yourself!

I was in the same boat a few years ago and went to a finance company. There are a few around here in Indiana but there are a few national like American General Finance, Beneficial, and even perhaps Personal Finance. Check your local yellow pages under loans. The interest rates suck really bad my first loan I had with them was credit card high in the neighborhood of 25-28%. Also if theres a credit union around that you qualify to join they may be able to help mine has always been very helpful when it comes to lending money. Good Luck!

It all comes down to who you're asking.
The standard markets definitely won't and even the marginal markets probably won't take a chance on you. Especially now that they're being investigated by Congress for predatory lending practices. (That's what they call it when institutions go looking for folks like you to loan money, fully aware that you are unlikely to be able to pay it back and, worse still, also fully aware that you couldn't possibly file for bankruptcy protection for another seven years.)
You might try looking for a local bank, credit union, or savings and loan. A lot of the savings and loan places will give you small loans based on the title of your car. But the interest rates are going to be highway robbery.

If you had money and someone asked you for a loan who had bad credit, what would you say? Go see a loan shark, or the sopranos.

the best place to learn how to get money from other people when you don't have any...is jail. and at the rate you are going...
other than that, if you are unable to sell the neighbors car without them knowing about it, you can try this site:
