plug your new ipod into the comp. Make sure that you have iTunes, and your songs from your ipod will automatically be put on there.

Plug in your ipod and then run your usb drive...maybe g: or h: A folder should pop up with all your songs on it. Then you can save those files back to your computer. Open a separate window and drag the songs over...or right-click the songs and save them that way.
At least that's how I do it with my mp3 player. It's not an ipod, I'm just assuming they're similar.

Good question! I'm having the same problem. I thought it would delete the songs from your iPod if you plugged it into your computer if the computer has no songs on it? I'm afraid to plug it in.

When you plug in your iPod, click on the MY COMPUTER on your desktop. Then there will be an icon saying either APPLE or iPod. Then click on that, then it will bring up files showing MUSIC, VIDEOS, etc. Click on music and all of your songs should be there. Then you highlight all of the songs by doing ctrl+a. Then open up iTunes and drag them over.

all you have to do is download iTunes onto your new computer, then plug in the charging wire to the new computer. plug your iPod into the charger and something should pop up that asks if you want to put songs from your iPod onto your new computer. do that and your songs and stuff should upload.

Just get the chord and plug it into the computer and it will work.

your ipod came with a usb cord. just plug and copy

You go to OPTIONS
then device
then syncronize out of device....
There you go....
all set...
