No, its not a must, and nothing will happen if you don't. And you can ignore most of the teenage guys comments too. Boy's won't like you more/less if you shave or wax. Just like some girls prefer to be smooth and some prefer to leave the hair, different guys have different preferences too. It depends on what you're comfortable doing. Being hairy doesn't impact on hygiene or any of the other myths, its about what you personally find best for you. And If you're worried about being attractive to guys, don't be.

You can shave it if you want, you don't have to, you can either just trim it, or if you want a longer lasting effect, get a full waxing down below.

It may appear a popular grooming practice in the western world right now, but removal of public hair has long been practiced by women in the Middle East, mainly for hygienic reasons.

It's a matter of personal preference.

It seems to be really popular for girls to shave all of their pubes these days. I would suggest a trim and a bikini wax to keep yourself groomed but I wouldn't shave it all the way off unless you feel more comfortable bald when you are with a guy.

Personally, (I'm a guy) I don't mind girls with hair at all, legs arms, you name it. It's actually quite attractive to me. It's natural you know? Some guys just think that since all the girls in their pornos are shaved they think all girls should because they have it drilled into their heads that it's hot. I don't believe in porn, it's disgraceful so i don't look at it. Like someone else said, if it's your bf is telling you to shave, slap that mother in the face, it's your body, you do what you want. I give mine a trim every once and awhile because when it gets too long it gets caught on things. Make sure you don't cut it too short or else it'll itch. Also, if you think it'll keep growing like the hair on your head. It's more like leg-hair or even eyebrows, it stops at a certain length. Catch my drift?

You obviously have too much time on your hands. Nothing will hapen to you but I will just say a certain amount of pubic hair is aceptable however regular grooming is what seperates us from animals. If you want to experiment why not? its your life, I just hope some guy is not talking you into this. If so he is a freak

Of course not. If it were a must, we wouldn't have survived millions of years ago when there was no way to shave. If you don't shave, you will just have a bushy cooch. You will have more pheremones to attract guys and a physical lubricant during sex.

no it is not a must. if you wanna shave it off then shave it off. if you wanna trim then trim. if you don't wanna do anything then don't. if you don't then the hair is gonna just stay there.

i used to shave my pubic hair now i just trim it.

No you don't have to shave it off. It will stay the same if you don't do anything to it. Leave it alone until you are old enough to decide what you want to do with it.

No you don't have to shave it all off. Some women prefer to shave and some don't but you should trim it up a bit cause it will look so eww if you don't.

hair can be trimmed, waxed, or shaved. it is personal preference. shaving and waxing can lead to ingrown hairs, abscesses, and prolonged time spent down there.
go for a tidy trim. be careful of the sensitive areas.
