I went to the doctor this morning to confirm on my pregnancy. I was told I am now 7 weeks preg. He suggested to go to the gynae later at April 2007. Based on your own experience, on which week onwards is the suggested time to start seeing a gynae for an ultrasound.

Most do an ultrasound around 16-20 weeks. Call and make an appt now because OB offices are usually pretty busy. Congrats on the pregnancy!! :)

You can find a OB/GYN now and go in for your first appointment confirming your pregnancy and going over you families history. Most people will go for their first appointment around week 10. But it is very important to go asap so you can get started on prenatal vitamins.
It depends on your doctors office when they will do an ultrasound. I had my intake appointment at 7 weeks then first actual appointment at 11 weeks and had to wait until i was 19 weeks for an ultrasound. My OB/GYN only does one ultrasound unless you are considered high risk.

If they feel the need they will do it on your first visit.
On your first visit ask to schedule one. They will tell you when would be the best time for you after your exam.
Take in a paper with any questions you may have. Either the nurse or doctor will answer them.
Get a good feel of the nurse. Many times they have good answers to your questions and more time to answer.

The best thing too do is go ahead and make an appointment at your gyn. so they can go ahead and do all the tests and all the stuff they have too do. The sooner you go, the safer you and the baby are!! Good luck to you and best wishes!! Congrats on your new edition!!
