Gil Hodges. He was a leader of men. Great human being and a great sportsman. He should be in the hall of fame. One day, when the baseball writers association and the veterans committee get their act together, he will be inducted. It's too bad that so many great players have passed away without realizing this great honor.

I'm a Red Sox fan, and I love him, but someone called a radio station calling him No-arm Garciapop-up. I used to tell my Dad all the time when he was with the Sox that he would pop-up something fierce. More than any player I can ever remember. He is a good player though.
My favorite Dodger? I used to really like Steve Garvey and Davey Lopes. Great ballplayers the were!

Nomar, he's been a favorite player of mine since he came into the Bigs. He's consistent when he's healthy. Hits for average with some power, fields well, and has a great wife(Mia Hamm) lol.
Of all time though,
I gotta say it's a tie between Jackie Robinson, and Kirk Gibson.
Jackie Robinson because, well he revolutionized the game, and is arguably the most important person in MLB history-think of all the black players that were able to follow in his shoes that we have idolized since then. And Kirk Gibson, because of that World Series HR just about brought tears to my eyes.

Of all time: Sandy Koufax - one of the last great heroes in Sports.
Today: Russell Martin - a catcher with a lot of heart that wants to make an impact, and truly wants to be a Los Angeles Dodger.

On the current team - Andre Ethier. No talk, nothing fancy - just gets it done day in and day out.
Past - Orel Hershiser, another guy that just did his job, although he would talk and talk and talk, usually about how Jesus advised him to throw a cutter in that 55th inning..Ok, maybe he annoyed me a little, but for 1 year it was the second most incredible pitching I have ever seen. After Bob Gibson of course...

Fernando Valenzuela - Valenzuela became the only pitcher ever to be named Rookie of the Year and win the Cy Young Award in the same season. He became a sensation & “Fernandomania” swept the country.
