I think that means draw a self portrait and include things that are symbolic for who you are. For an example, my self portrait has me drawing, cooking, and taking care of my son all at the same time. That is totally me. I hope that helped and good luck!

Symbols are things that represent other things.

So if you need to include symbols in your self-portrait, you should think about your life, yourself, and your experiences. Think of objects and concepts that represent things about you.

Everyone is different, so it's hard to give an example. But maybe a starting point can be your interests. What do you do for fun? If you play soccer, for example, then a soccer ball can be a symbol of that aspect of you.

The idea is to do something other than simply drawing or painting yourself as you really look. Aim for a less literal interpretation of yourself.

God bless.
