If you can't come up with your own 'truly unique' baskets, I wouldn't recommend you start your own business. If anyone here had something really special, we'd be doing it ourselves. No one is going to give you any ideas, that haven't all ready been done. You'll have to do that thinking for yourself. That's how small business start...with an idea YOU thought of.

I saw one company on the Food Channel that makes "baskets" using round waste baskets with a lot of old-style stickers on them. Then they pick unusual old-style candy bars (not stale ones - classic ones) and pile them in to stand up very tall and secure it with a tall plastic wrap. They were good enough that they go into Oscar-presenter style gift packs.

I you have an order for a specific client, find out their likes, and if they collect anything. Such as dog lovers would love some dog themed stuff.
A scrapbooker, a nurse, a bride, a honeymooner, etc.
Some specific things to hook a client.
Oh! a fisherman!--lures, roll of line, hat, you get it!
