This just came in on Yahoo!.. This is very sad and he will be sorely missed. What Boston song will you remember him by the most? For me it's 'A Man I'll Never Be'... Live On Brad!
Brad Delp, the lead singer for the band Boston, was found dead Friday in his home in southern New Hampshire. He was 55. Atkinson police responded to a call for help at 1:20 p.m. and found Delp dead. Police Lt. William Baldwin said in a statement the death was "untimely" and that there was no indication of foul play.

Delp apparently was alone at the time of his death, Baldwin said.

The cause of his death remained under investigation by the Atkinson police and the New Hampshire Medical Examiner's office. Police said an incident report would not be available until Monday.

Delp sang vocals on Boston's 1976 hits "More than a Feeling" and "Longtime." He also sang on Boston's most recent album, "Corporate America," released in 2002.

He joined the band in the early 1970s after meeting Tom Scholz, an MIT student interested in experimental methods of recording music, according to the group's official Web site. The band enjoyed its greatest success and influence during its first decade.

The band's last appearance was in November 2006 at Boston's Symphony Hall.

On Friday night, the Web site was taken down and replaced with the statement: "We just lost the nicest guy in rock and roll."

A call to the Swampscott, Mass., home of Boston guitarist Barry Goudreau was not immediately returned Friday night.

Boston provided the background music to so many significant events in my life. There will never be another group that had the same "magic" that Boston had. My sister was in high school when Boston first hit the scene. I was ten years younger, but always sang along when she played her records. When I was in high school, (ten years later of course) Boston came out with Third Stage. I thought that was the coolest album ever!
I got married ten years after I graduated high school. I married a man that I dated when we were in college. We broke up for seven years, then got back together. One song that we played at our reception that was especially meaningful was the song recorded by one of Brad Delp's other groups, Return to Zero. The song was called "Until Your Love Comes Back Around"

Yes, Brad Delp was a fine musician and he will be forever missed, but I know that he will never be forgotten.

Thanks for the memories, Brad.... Rest in peace

Brad Delp was NO DOUBT the Very BEST voice in Rock Music. I will NEVER forget Him, and for me, the song that stands out will always be the first I heard....More Than A Feeling. My all time favorite is Cantcha sya You Believe in me. A Great song. He will be missed by us all. I understand that Tom Scholz recently remarried, and Delp was to marry again this summer. What a BEAUTIFUL Human Being He was. I am so saddened by this horrible loss. I am sure Tom is devastated. I am praying for all who knew him.

R.I.P. Brad,
We Love You.

I was so saddened to hear this.

I hope Mr Delp is looking down on us from the great Rock n' Roll Palace in the Sky.

God be with his family and friends.

He closed his eyes and he slipped away.......

We will all miss Brad very much. I am glad that I got to see this legenday singer 4 times with Boston. My favorite was in September of 1987 at MSA in Indianapolis. I sat 4th row center and made eye contact with the man several times. As with alot of people, this band is very special to me.

Brad ,you will be remembered!

I was shocked to say the least. He was also in a Beatles cover band that is based in Massachusetts called "Beatlejuice". I have a friend who met him and the others in Beatlejuice, I know she's really sad now.

I grew up with that band. I loved Boston. Thanks for letting us know. I had no idea. My favorite song was, 'Smokin'! Mr. Delp will surely be missed. Boston had their own unique style and sound.

Their first album was phenomenal....hit after hit. It kind of defined that year in music. I still like "Rock & Roll Band" about the best.

The music will be his eternal legacy.
