All 3 were pretty bad but Todd Bertuzzi should of gotten more than his 12 games. He lucked out cuz of the lock-out.

Bertuzzi, if you are going simply by what was done. Next is McSorely. Simon's is lowest in part because it was actually straight out retalliation. Bertuzzi's WASN'T because HE wasn't the one that was hit. Hell I don't even think it was that game that, I believe it was Naslaund, got hit. They put a bounty on Moore. Then Bertuzzi went after him FROM BEHIND(Worse then Simon who even at head hunting was at the face) and SLAMMED him into the ice.

the players all said they got caught up in the passion when they committed the penalties well that is no excuse, you can be passionate about something and not try to take someone out.it was dangerous and did hurt someone to the extent of his career ending.i think suspension should be automatic on something like that and not 3 or 4 games.maybe the players known for dirty playing might think twice if some career ending suspension were handed down.espn doesn't cover to much hockey but i am out of town right now and stuck without center ice so i have watched espn to catch scores and of course they are really covering chris simones slash to ryan hollweg, it isn't helping the leagues reputation any....on the lighter side i read an article that said steve moore is skating now and hopes to eventually return to hockey-his doctor says no but look at dany heatly they said he would never skate again let alone play hockey,he is doing tremendous for someone who would never skate again!!!!!!!!so let's hope the same is true for steve moore

Bertuzzi first and McSorely second. Both were cheap shots from behind and outside the bounds of Hockey retaliation.

All 3 should have had a lifetime ban but if they just did that with McSorely then Bertuzzi and Simons incidents probably wouldnt have happened,I love the tough physical play and the fighting but to intentionally try to maim someone thats not cool.

When a player purposes injures another player such as in these three instances, I think the guilty party should be suspended for the duration of the victims injury. So my answer is Bertuzzi. Moore can't play, neither can Bertuzzi.

All were misconduct, but Bertuzzi's hurt Moore so badly, he cannot even play. hes been training for a comeback and has to Sue Bertuzzi for money he lost.

They all deserve(d) equal suspensions -- LIFE.

Throwing sucker punches or swinging sticks at players with intent to injure is NEVER justified. PERIOD. END OF DISCUSSION.

Aside from the fact that it ruins the health and career of the victim it gives hockey a VERY bad black eye.

Had Bertuzzi been suspended for life, we likely would not be sitting here discussing Chris Simon right now.

Marty never played again. Bert ended up sitting a long time and NO ONE really wants hime on their team. Simon was always a goon. He just showed his true colours. He should sit for a year.
Why is no one complaining about how little Ray Emery got for his flagrant and intentional stick to the face?

1.) Bertuzzi- should still be banned reguardless of his talent. 2.) Simon- That was a rage fueled assault with no intention other than to inflict serious injury. 3.) McSorely- wasn't really trying to hurt Brashear with his stick, just wanted to scrap.
