all i have is the option to put it in the bsaement?

To put furniture in your home you must enter your home, click on the room in which you wish to put the furniture and your available furniture will show in a series of boxes at the bottom of the screen. Click on the item and it will move into your room. Drag it anywhere in the room from there.

You need to go to your home.
Then, you go to a room.
Lastly, you go to the menu section, and you click on the piece of furniture. You can drag it to move it, too.

Well first yo ugo to your house.Then you press the room you want to put it in thne drag it were you want it!

It is automatically in your stuff. So when you go to your home, it's there.
