it's kind of a romantic anime and i really like it even though it's really old and i just want to know other animes that are similar to it.

Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers)...hmmm...great show...kind of a shoujo soap opera really. I would recommend:

Well right off the batt I would reccomend you try the Japanese live action version of Hana Yori Dango that first started airing last year and the 2nd season of the live action drama Hana Yori Dango Returns which is close to being finished also.

Give these series a try, they have some similarities to HYD and are entertaining to watch after or if you decide not to try the live action version (which is highly reccomended)

Meteor garden is a Taiwanese drama based on the same manga. Hana yori dango also has a live action drama version. It is available on crunchyroll.com and youtube.com

My Opinion conversing... do not waste some time watching the anime. it could be greater effective in case you study the manga as a substitute. it somewhat is plenty greater effective, regardless of the very previous artwork. however, for the two version's of this anime/manga, there are a mushy version, in spite of if all of it seems an identical in any case on the tip. the two version of the Drama's are some million hour lengthy episodes. For the Drama's, I favored the jap version of Hana Yori Dango. it somewhat is shorter -- 9 eps first season -- 12 eps 2nd season -- a million action picture "0.33" season. the jap Drama version is an extensive to direct version (properly could be) from the manga. The Korean version, of Hana Yori Dango is primary as "Boys Over vegetation". Its longer -- 26 eps (if i remembered properly) basically a million season. This version is an version of the jap version and manga of Hana Yori Dango. however I favored the jap version over the Korean, the Korean actors are plenty warmer/cuter etc than the jap. Kim Hyun Joon (SS501 singer) is like...LOOOOOVE >W<... so...Korean version has greater effective men simply by fact the F4, however the jap version has the greater "precise" version of the anime/manga of Hana Yori Dango. yet it somewhat is as much as you which of them one to observe. maximum of my different acquaintances favored the Korean version of it, purely simply by hotter men, and that they prefer lengthy dramas. I want short drama's that are maximum ideally an on the spot version from the anime/manga (or on the element of it).

who knows meteor garden drama in 2001 i guest, should know the anime too. well, Hana yori dango is the manhwa isn't it. you can find the similarity of the characters in manga goong a.k.a. princess hours. personality between hanazawa rui and lee yul...

u should watch the drama too because that is better than the anime and it is still running
new seasons and new episodes are still coming out!!!
