Even if Brady wins five more SB's, Manning is still the better QB. No Doubt! I mean, when its all set and done Manning will be the Best Ever, while Brady will be compared with the likes of Aikman and Bradshaw(QB's of other Dynastys) which are good QB's but not Great Ones, like a Montana,Marino,Elway, and Manning.

Tom Brady is a great quarterback dont get me wrong, but Peyton Manning is better, alot better. Manning will be one of the greatest to play the game, past present , and future. Just because Tom Brady won three superbowls doesnt mean hes better than peyton manning. Look at what a team that tom brady had and still does(even though its not as good as it were) and look at N.E. 's coach Bill Billichek is a mastermind.
All these years the colts have had a mediocre team, but now they are alot better so if the question is the case then id be willing to bet manning can pull off a couple more superbowls, and be GREATER THAN TOM BRADY. And peyton did have his contract altered so save the colts cap room.

Both quarterbacks are great but in different ways. Brady excels in the system that the Patriots use but Brady would flounder in the system that the Colts use, just as Manning excels in the system the Colts use but he may not be as good in the system the Patriots use.
Manning is a throwback quarterback in that he calls the majority of the plays that the offense runs while most of the other quarterbacks in the league call very few plays. (Only the checkoff plays at the line of scrimmage and the play they change to is one of three or four plays).

For all the reasons stated above, I believe Brady is the better QB. There is one which hasn't been stated. Brady took a pay cut in the prime of his career, after becoming a Super Bowl MVP so that the Patriots would be in a better salary cap situation. Now, Brady already had the ring and the Cadillac. Most players would now be going for the bank account. Brady is a total team player. He not only is the leader of his team, which Peyton is too, but he is willing to sacrifice for the team. When Peyton was whining about the Colts not being able to resign Edgerin James, I never heard him offer to restructure his 10 year 100 million dollar contract so they could do it.

Although i might be contested here, I believe Brady is the better quarterback hands down. My examples are his excellent decision making and his 3 super bowl rings. Now many people may jump to point to statistics, but I think circumstances must play a part in this. Peyton manning had a horrible defense, forcing them to throw the ball through the air more often and for bigger gains then the patriots did. The patriots let up the fewest points in the league this year, and this defense wasn't even as dominant as past defenses. Also, Tom Brady didn't get the nickname "Mr. Cool" for no reason. His ability to concentrate under pressure is phenomenal. Finally, Tom Brady's supporting cast hasn't been as good as Peyton Manning's, not even close. Peyton Manning has probably one of the top 3 receivers of all time in marvin harrison (along with Jerry Rice and Cris Carter), Reggie Wayne, who is one of the league's top receivers, He had eddrign james in his prime, one of the dominant running backs in the league, and one of the best lines in the league. Brady has never had a good receiving corps, Deion Branch being a slight exception, and had antowain smith and kevin faulk as his running backs. Brady also had a very good line. Now don't get me wrong, peyton manning is a FANTASTIC qb, who i can't praise enough, But if I had to pick my field general, Brady would be mine in a heartbeat.
Note: Although both great qbs, neither compare to the likes of Dan Marino or John Elway. 2nd and first in 4th quarter comebacks, respectively, and statistical marvels. Also, until the last two years of his career elway didn't have the best cast around him, and Marino NEVER had a 1000 yard rusher(not sure about that) in his career, or a future hall of famer in any skill position.
and for the record the guy under me is my hero

some people think Manning is the greatest thing since sliced bread...im not one of them...Brady did an incredible job leading the Pats to three titles in 4 years...now count how many have done that, then how many have 2-4 rings, (sorry Marino but we still consider you to be great) then how those qbs got those rings...you dont get that much hardware by accident...if one more person tries to compare Manning to Montana, Bradshaw, Elway, or Aikman they should be shot...let his career end then assess it...but his total playoff and super bowl numbers will pale to Montanas...so stop with all that 'greatest' garbage...(and good lob down there followthefisher about how Brady restructured his contract so the team could sign the players needed to be a champion vs Mannings complaining about the no sign...)

I don't even know why people ask this question. The world is composed of 2 kinds of people. Colts fans and Patriots fans. Colts fans like Manning, and argue that he's the best QB ever. Pats fans like Brady, and argue he's the best QB ever. After 6 years of this, the world still doesn't know who is better. Why can't we just say they're both great QBs and get over it?

i don't think so for 3 reasons.
1. Tom Brady has won 3 super bowls.
2. Tom Brady leads a team with no stars on it except for adalius thomas now but Manning has Harrison, Wayne, Clark, a great o-line, and Joseph Addai.
3. Compare playoff records
Brady 12-2
Manning 6-6
You decide who you think is better but we know the true answer.

Manning is already a better QB that Brady in all but one area. But by the end of their careers, Manning could pass him on the SB rings too. They are both quite good, but based on stats, its a no brainer.
