i own a shop, and you can order a kit from a parts place such as advance auto parts they have a good source for these, but it helps if your car came with power locks on it other wise its really hard to install one of these kits, and its also very expensive to,because it takes a lot more expensive kit to do this with, than if it came with power locks,a good kit for power locks will cost around 80-100 bucks, and installation is usually around 100 bucks for this, but beware of some of the shops that do this ,sometime they way they hook these up will cause more problems than its worth to have on the car, this system will also starts your car ,because most of them come with a remote start feature also, that's the man reason people like them so much, good luck,i hope this helps.

Did you buy the car new? If you bought it used, is it possible that the owner just didn't give you the remotes? While your at it, why not put an alarm system on it. They will handle the installation process for you. Hopefully, you have a button on the driver's door that you can push and lock all the doors. If not, then the actuators will have to be installed which is more expense. The price will depend on the alarm system and the amount of labor to install. A 4 dr will be more than a 2 dr. because they will require more parts and labor.

It is the car alarm kit. When you buy it, it usually comes bundled with door actuators. It is rigged in such a way that all is connected into the main alarm system. When you press "arm" in the remote, it arms the alarm and at the same time locks all 4 doors. You will know this when you hear one chirping sound and you will see either your headlights or signal lights flash once, depending on how they installed it. Disarming it, you will usually hear 2 chirping sounds, and the lights will flash for a few seconds. Alarms usually come with a panic button. Pressing this will emit a continuous noise therby alerting everybody around. This usually lasts for a few minutes.
