"You must be a liberal."- let he who is without sin, cast the first stone(thats Not you)
" A few mess up so you condemn everyone? "- Exactly where did I condem everyone. No where, you made that case for me.
"Do you hate all humans because a few murder?" I don't hate anyone. But what I can't stand is the backward thinking X-tians neoclowns (LIKE NEWT ACCUSSING CLINTON OF HAVING AN AFFAIR, WHILE HE IS HAVING ONE ALSO)
"I bet you even hate yourself"
Actually, I love myself, my family and my country. You neoclowns seem to be the ones full of hate.

No, I don't think the Pope is out of touch solely on the basis of his failure to mention child molestation as a menace to moral values. I think he just has a PR agent that is reasonably competent. Rule number 1: don't discuss the issues that make the organization you lead look bad.

The Pope is certainly not going to praise child molestation, for reasons I feel should be obvious. But he's not going to condemn it, because that would acknowledge that this is a practice that has some frequency within the Church (rather than a few isolated incidents), which is going to drive people away from Catholicism, and thus reduce his paycheck.

The Pope is not "out of touch" with reality. In fact, it is those who are incapable of seeing the destruction that TV and internet are doing to family life and family values who are the "out of touch" ones. And your citing cases of sexual abuse by the clergy has nothing whatsoever to do with your argument. It does not justify what TV, the media, and internet are doing to family life. No, the Pope is right on the mark here. I invite you to listen to the full message that he is trying to proclaim to the world, and not just to one or two statements that you happen to disagree with, out of their context.

I hope this answers your question.
