As adults, not all moths feed, but the ones that do, typically feed on nectar from flowers. they use their long proboscis to reach down into the heart of the flower and extract the nectar.
Larvae have a wide range of feeding habits, but the vast majority are herbivorous, many of them are specific to one species of plant/tree, and others are more generalists by nature.
In this image you will see a hummingbird clearwing moth about to feed on a flower, if you look at the front of its head you will see the straw-like proboscis unwrapping as it prepares to feed.

Butterflies and most moths (some moths don't eat as adults - see Cecropia, Polyphemus, and Luna) feed through a tube-like tongue called a proboscis so their food must be liquid. Many feed on nectar from various flowers while others feed on a variety of moist rotting matter including, fruit, sap, animals, and animal droppings. Some butterflies will also visit mud puddle to sip nutrients from soil.

Or they carry their own good judgment simply by fact they prefer the style of meat. some each and every physique is purely not undemanding to reason with. -.-
