GUATEMALA CITY --

Mayan priests will purify a sacred archaeological site
to eliminate "bad spirits" after President Bush visits
next week, an official with close ties to the group said Thursday.

"That a person like (Bush),
with the persecution of our migrant brothers in the
United States, with the wars he has provoked, is
going to walk in our sacred lands, is an offense for
the Mayan people and their culture,"
Juan Tiney,
the director of a Mayan nongovernmental organization with close ties to Mayan religious and political leaders, said Thursday.

Bush's seven-day tour of Latin America includes
a stopover beginning late Sunday in Guatemala .

This replaced into mandatory to be reported. The Ghetto grasp and his keepers have carried out greater to destroy u . s . of america than help. yet what the hell have been purely racist that truly are greater disappointed that Obama is 0.5 black residing off of the backs of the black adventure. See Obama by no potential had any of the appropriate issues that many of the black community are up against. He by no potential had to run the gauntlet to get to college and ward off computerized weapons hearth to accomplish that. He by no potential ignored a meal or had problems with warmth or chilly. His white Grandmother replaced into afluent and does not permit her grandson stay under such circumstances. So what you have is a usurper of the form pretending to be President. Come this November which will all substitute. And Buckwheat would be reported on expenditures come 2011.

GOOD AND EVIL ARE NOT CHARACTERISTICS OF "MAYAN" GODS. GOOD WASNT NECESARILY ADMIRABLE. WHAT WAS APPROPRIATE AT ONE TIME MIGHT NOT BE THE NEXT.
THESE PEOPLE ALSO WORSHIPPED THE LIFE CYCLE OF CORN.
ITS ALSO POSSIBLE THAT THEY PRACTICED CANNIBALISM AND HUMAN SACRIFICE.
IF THEY ARE ACTUALLY "MAYAN" TYPE RELIGIOUS PRIESTS, I DONT KNOW THAT THEY ARE VERY BRIGHT, OR AT THE LEAST, NOT THE HIGHEST EDUCATED PEOPLE ON THE PLANET.

I have added my vote to your answerers' responses. The article tell all you need to know. Remember, this is their point of view and is right in their eyes just as Saddam's weapons of mass destruction still exist in the eyes of GW Bush.

The thousands of screaming and jeering people (typically with very ill intent in their hearts) gathering together will attract "bad spirits"

I believe you have fallen victim to yet another case of the media, which includes all internet, radio, telivision, and paper sources.

Perhaps you should not only THINK thuroughly about your words, but also about your sources?
