I have a box type 1982 Mitsubishi lancer that I want lowered. I don't want to cut the coil springs. Any suggestions would help

The last thing you want to do is cut or heat your springs. You can buy lowering springs relativley cheap check out your local auto supply they should be able to set you up with what you need.

Ther are a bunch of aftermarket places where you can buy lowering springs and whatnot but I like to use summitracing.com, they have a bunch of stuff for the lancer including lowering springs and sometimes free shipping! url in the source box.

you can buy1,5 inch lower from spring manufacturer any lower than that will be illegal and get a lower profile tyres

You can get good ones for cheap prices on ebay but make sure to check the sellers feedback!!!
