Some women who dye their hair blonde do it for male attention. Then they play up the dumb, giggly stereotype because they think that's what guys like. Sadly, some guys (mostly immature ones) fall for that. Blondes are always portrayed that way in the media and people will believe anything they're told.

Because of the way they've been portrayed in the media throughout history (e.g. Marliyn Monroe) It's kind of silly because Marilyn Monroe wasn't even a natural sand colored blonde, she was a red head. There are very few natural blondes

Its a stereotype that came from all those fake bimbos that dye their hair blonde and act ditzy to get attention. I personally think it is one of the most untrue stereotypes, I am a blonde myself, and have never had below a 3.5 GPA, and am planning on attending a four-year college and becoming a teacher.

It's a stereotype probably formed when a person communicated with a group of blondes and they happened to be dumb. Don't worry, most stereotypes don't make sense. They're just unfairly biased statements. Learn to laugh about it. (It's weird, but my blonde friend thinks blonde jokes are absolutely hilarious. She never gets harrassed with them.) If people know it bothers you, they'll keep attacking you with them. So learn to accept them.

It is all in the genes. People with blond hair, also have other genes that go with it. Ive noticed personally that being dumber is often part of being blond.
